Moving day is easier when everything is coordinated. These are the tips our team recommends so your move is safe, orderly and surprise-free.
Security and verification
- Verify the team leader's ID and the truck plates against your quotation.
- Pack an Essentials Box (jewelry, documents, medicines, keys, laptop) that stays with you, not on the truck.
- Check credentials before any work begins.
Preparation and walkthrough
- Do a room-by-room walkthrough with the leader, explaining tricky access, stairs and special areas.
- Clear hallways, stairs and the path to the truck.
- Clearly mark FRAGILE boxes and point out antiques, delicate electronics and valuable art.
During loading
- Read and sign the inventory and service order before loading; ask anything you need.
- Give instructions only to the Team Leader to keep order.
- Supervise without interfering; let the team work to their training.
- Ask about the loading plan (usually farthest rooms first) for a logical unload.
Safety and care
- Designate a safe zone for children and pets, away from the activity.
- Wear comfortable, safe clothing: closed non-slip shoes and long sleeves; avoid loose jewelry.
- Photograph furniture and appliances before they're handled, as evidence.
Closing and transition
- Before the truck leaves, check closets, drawers, garage, attic and under the stairs.
- Inspect walls, floors and door frames for any marks or damage.
- Give the driver the destination address, your phone number and your estimated arrival time.
- If any incident occurs, report it within the first 48 hours with a description and clear photos.
